Trubyville Roving Reporter

Friday was a very fun day! When we came in, we did our morning work called Love Mail. It was a very interesting morning work. We would get an answer for one problem. Then, we would put the answer of that problem on the top of the next problem, and divide, subtract, add, or multiply to get the next answer. After morning work we went to P.E. (physical education) and did this jump rope race. We had teams (my team was Thoren, Andrew, and me) and we ran through the ropes. If we got caught by the rope, we would restart at our teams rope. Your whole team had to go through all the ropes! There is a pattern, your team first has to run through the ropes. Then, they have to jump once and get out. Then, they have to jump once touch the ground then get out. After that, they have to jump five times then get out. Finally, you had to jump fifteen times then get out. Then, we left P.E. and did our spelling test. I got stuck on a few words, but I did what the words sounded like. I think I did well.
After the spelling test, we did estimation jar. Everybody congratulated me for filling the jar with Jelly Bellys. There was Dr. Pepper, A & W cream soda, and root beer were new flavors in the Jelly Bellys (well, at least for me). If let's say Riley says" Hey! I've got a Dr. Pepper flavor!" then everybody would swarm Riley's desk and ask what she would want to trade for a Dr. Pepper flavor. After estimation jar, some people stayed in the room for study hall and some people went to band. I play the clarinet, and I learned a new note, it's called F# (# means sharp). After band/study hall, we went to lunch. I forgot I was going with a few of my friends and the teacher to McAllister's. I was a little embarrassed.
At McAllister's,(it was the first time I went there) I got their French Dip and a Dr. Pepper, and it was really good. One of the waitresses went around the place four times to find Colin so he could get his order. When we came back we did DOL (to bad we missed recess). After DOL we presented our single-celled organisms (I hope some past reporters have told you about our single-celled organisms), mine was an amoeba (pronounced ameeba). Did you know the amoeba eats food by forming a circle around the food and then engulfing it? After we introduced the organisms, we did Choco day 14-15. If I remember correctly, he went to New Orleans, LA and Little Rock, AR. After Choco we went to Spanish (I hope some past reporters have told you about Ms. Becker, if not I will. After Spanish we did agenda. We also had carnival tonight!
Carnival was so much fun! I got a Fanta strawberry flavor, a Independent School bottle, an airplane, a spin top, and two small basketball things. For some reason Robert was chasing Wiley. It was kind of funny to watch them. I also gave Mrs. Truby a hug. This was the best carnival ever!
